Established in 2013, Gyro Beach Board Shop has been a hub for water sports enthusiasts in Cadboro Bay Village, Victoria, BC. When stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) was surging in popularity, our location at Cadboro-Gyro Park became the perfect spot to support this growing activity. Over the years, we’ve proudly shared our passion for paddleboarding, surfing, wing foiling, and skimboarding, introducing many to the excitement of ocean sports.
After 11 years, we’ve made the heartfelt decision to close our shop. Being part of the Cadboro Bay Village community has been a privilege, and we’ll truly miss the connections we’ve built. To everyone who sent kind notes, brought flowers, or stopped by to say goodbye—thank you for your thoughtfulness and support.
Our story doesn’t end here. This website will remain active until we sell the rest of our inventory. Thank you for being a part of our adventure, and we’ll see you on the water.

Gyro Beach Board Shop is proud to support companies who share our commitment to protecting the earth and ocean environments. We are now selling surfboards and paddles made with Bio-resin, organic surf wax derived from tree sap instead of petroleum by-products, and neoprene products fabricated using limestone. These are just a few examples of the initiatives seen today in the water-sports industry. In our 10 years in business, we have witnessed and applauded the manufacturers who have eliminated plastic packaging in favour of eco-friendly alternatives. We love to showcase local companies, artisans, non-profit organizations, and Canadian Pacific Northwest businesses whenever possible. As we head into our 10th year of business, we are grateful to the community of Cadboro Bay and city of Victoria and visitors from all corners of the world for keeping us afloat.
